-
GUI Developer using Nextion Interface

The Heeluxe SmartLast (Foot Last Project) is an innovative foot-shaped device that uses embedded sensors to measure shoe fit pressure and toe room, replicating a human foot for footwear testing
As an engineer on this project, I guided it from concept prototype to a market-ready product. This involved hands-on design of the electronics and software that power the SmartLast, ensuring it met rigorous performance needs for fast, accurate, and repeatable shoe fit measurements.

Electronic Design & Prototyping: Designed and prototyped custom electronic components, including sensor integration and microcontroller circuits. Built multiple hardware iterations to test pressure sensors and toe-box clearance sensors, refining the design with each prototype for accuracy and stability.

User Interface Development: Developed an intuitive touchscreen GUI using a Nextion HMI display. Created a user-friendly interface for technicians to control tests and view real-time fit data, with clear visual indicators (e.g. color-coded pressure maps) for quick interpretation. The Nextion-based GUI streamlined the user experience, requiring minimal training for operation.
